watchOS 4.3 & tvOS 11.3 Updates Released
Apple has released updates to watchOS and tvOS providing updates to Nightstand mode, improved remote control functions on Apple Watch, privacy improvements and other minor improvements and fixes.
watchOS 4.3 Update
- Allow users to access, browse and control playback of the iPhone's music library.
- Adds volume and playback controls on HomePod from your Apple Watch.
- You can also "love" and "dislike" songs, delete tracks and route audio to AirPlay devices.
- Users who charge the Apple Watch on a vertical stand can use a new portrait view of Nightstand, showing the display in the correct orientation.
- Activity data added to the Siri watch face.
- Small tweaks to the appearance of watchOS with refreshed system graphics and other functions, including a new battery charging animation.
- Performance improvements and bug fixes.
tvOS 11.3 Update
- Introduction of a new privacy icon that shows up whenever Apple is asking for your personal information.
- Enhancements to Match Content support.
- Automatic frame rate switching on the fourth-generation Apple TV (a feature that was added to Apple TV 4K in a past update).
- Automatic mode switching for AirPlay video sessions.
- Performance improvements and bug fixes.
- Unfortunately AirPlay 2 support, allowing Apple TV to be added to the Home app as part of a HomeKit setup and enabling multi-room audio across multiple Apple TVs, was removed in an early beta.
