Apple’s October 2026 Welcome Home Launch: HomeView, HomePod mini 2 & Apple TV 4K
Apple's October 2026 Welcome Home launch: HomeView, HomePod mini 2 and Apple TV 4K with Siri AI, Australian prices and dates, and what is not coming yet.

On 14 October 2026, Apple announced its Welcome Home products. They are Apple HomeView, a new smart display, HomePod mini 2 and a new Apple TV 4K. Apple also announced the Apple Home Collection, a range of cameras, a doorbell, a lock and thermostats made with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. This page is a short summary with the Australian prices and dates. Each product has its own guide.
What Apple announced
Here are the new products with Apple’s Australian prices.
- Apple HomeView, a 7-inch smart display, A$4491, available from Friday 13 November.
- HomePod mini 2, A$2291, available from Friday 30 October.
- Apple TV 4K (4th generation), A$4491, available from Friday 13 November.
- Apple Home Collection, which is not available in Australia at launch.
Pre-orders for the first three opened on 14 October.
Siri AI at the centre
Every one of these products is built around Siri AI, Apple’s rebuilt assistant. On these devices it is a beta that works in English to start, and Apple says usage limits apply. For personal context, such as your Calendar or Messages, they need to be paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad. Our Siri AI guide explains what it does.
One catch: HomePod mini 2 does not have Siri AI at launch. Apple says it is coming in a future software update, with no date given.
Apple HomeView
HomeView has a 7-inch Liquid Retina display on a speaker base, or in a wall-mounted version. It recognises up to six people by their faces and shows each of them their own content. Read our HomeView guide.
HomePod mini 2
The small speaker has a new light display called Sound Glow, five colours and support for a four-speaker surround setup with the new Apple TV. Read our HomePod mini 2 guide.
Apple TV 4K
The new Apple TV 4K has built-in microphones for hands-free Siri, a faster chip and a new Siri Remote. Read our Apple TV 4K guide.
Apple Home Collection
Apple’s Home Collection includes indoor and outdoor cameras, a video doorbell, a smart lock, thermostats and temperature sensors, all managed in the Apple Home app. Apple says the video doorbell and camera line-up will be available at launch in the US, Canada and the UK, and the lock and thermostat in the US and Canada. Availability begins in December, with some products in early 2027. Apple has not announced it for Australia.
