Apple’s September 2025 Event: iPhone 17, iPhone Air, Apple Watch Series 11 and AirPods Pro 3
Apple has announced the iPhone 17 family and new iPhone Air, Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3 and SE 3, plus AirPods Pro 3.

Apple’s September 2025 event introduced four new iPhones, three Apple Watch models and AirPods Pro 3. The new iPhone Air is the biggest design change, joining iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max in the line-up.
iPhone 17
iPhone 17 gains a larger and brighter display with ProMotion up to 120Hz, the A19 chip, a 48-megapixel dual-camera system and a Center Stage front camera. It also improves durability with Ceramic Shield 2 and supports faster charging.
This is the mainstream model and will be the sensible starting point for most buyers who do not need the thinner Air design or the Pro camera and performance options.
iPhone Air
iPhone Air is a new thin and light model with a 6.5-inch display, A19 Pro chip and a single 48-megapixel rear camera system. Its design is the reason to choose it, while the reduced camera flexibility is the main trade-off.
A very thin phone can also change battery, case and repair considerations. Buyers should judge the complete package rather than the headline thickness alone.
iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max
The Pro models focus on sustained performance, camera capability and battery life. They use A19 Pro and a 48-megapixel Fusion camera system across the rear cameras, with stronger zoom and video options than the standard models.
They make sense for photography, video and demanding mobile work. For ordinary use, the standard iPhone 17 is likely to offer better value.
Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3 and SE 3
Series 11 adds new health insights and improves durability and battery life. Ultra 3 remains the large, rugged option for endurance and outdoor use, while SE 3 brings current safety and everyday features to the lower-cost model.
The choice should start with wrist size, battery needs, cellular use and activity type. Ultra is not automatically better for normal daily wear.
AirPods Pro 3
AirPods Pro 3 improve active noise cancellation, sound and fit, and add new health and fitness capabilities. Live Translation is designed to work with a supported iPhone and Apple Intelligence.
As with any in-ear product, comfort and fit matter as much as the feature list. Existing AirPods Pro owners should upgrade only if the new fit, noise control or health features solve a real need.
Availability and preparation
Pre-orders open this week and the new products are due later this month. Back up the current iPhone, check eSIM and carrier requirements, and confirm whether cases, cables, docks and Apple Watch bands can be reused.
iPhone Air is the new idea; iPhone 17 is the practical default. The Pro phones, Ultra watch and AirPods Pro 3 are more specialised choices that should be matched to an actual need.
